Just made me some of these. Totally yummy!

Especially since I sprinkled them with not just sea salt, but also Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute. Mmm, mmm, MMM! Spicy!

A little more about Sarah

I have a passion for self-reliance, food from scratch, books, and history. I cook and read a lot! I graduated from Utah State University with a degree in History and a minor in Museum Studies. I've worked in museums since I was 13 and consider them to be an invaluable resource to our communities! My goal is to make history accessible, hands-on, and interesting for everyone, and I hope to eventually create a program/curriculum that I can share with homeschoolers and groups at museums.

My historical interests include: Early 20th century domestic life, the domestic experience of WWI & WWII, and technology that impacted the 1800 - early 1900s American home (the invention of the sewing machine and frozen food for example) or what I like to call "domesticated technology."

Some Goals of Mine

Help preserve heirloom breeds of animals
Raise a pig - wanted to since I was a teenager :-)
Make my own sausage
Have a few sled dogs to mush with
Live for a month without electricity to see if I could hack it
Build my own log cabin - even if it's a tiny one
Learn to knit sweaters & socks
Finish the quilts I've already started (3! - it's shameful I know)
Sew more of my own clothes
Own a spinning wheel & get better at spinning wool
Raise chickens
Have a cat or two
Have a practical garden w/ food we actually eat
Own a modest-sized homestead
Turn a lifetime of writing into a published book
Make my own cheese & yogurt
Make my own soap (hand, laundry)
